ORZECH FRUIT AND VEGETABLE PROCESSING PLANT Ltd. was formed in Kolbuszowa from the Regional Horticultural and Apicultural Cooperative. In 1995 it was purchased by Mr. Stefan Orzech, and after substantial repairs, production began on July 1st, 1996. Together with his sons Wacław and Artur, Mr. Stefan Orzech began development of the plant, as a result of which there was rapid growth in production and sales of fruit and vegetable products. The fact that in all its previous history the factory had never reached the production levels of its first year as a private company gives some idea of the scale and intensity of their activities. Today, after 7 years of operating, it should be noted that Orzech FVPP has increased production almost every year, with a resulting systematic increase in sales and expansion into more and more new markets.



The business of the company is the production of a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetable products, such as salads, jams, marmalades, mushrooms, peppers, cucumbers, and many others- altogether, 80 delicious and healthy fruit and vegetable products. Our motto is, " HEALTHY, DELICIOUS PRODUCTS WHICH ARE GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, " and to live up to it we take special care to ensure that the products which we buy from farmers are of high quality and conform to food industry standards. That is why it is significant that our company is located in an environmentally clean area, in the middle of a fruit and vegetable growing area, far from major roads and industrial centres which could cause environmental pollution. Fertile soil and a specific microclimate contribute to the high quality and taste of our raw materials.

In 2003, the production workshop of our factory was completely modernized in line with European Union requirements, the HACCP system of quality control was introduced, and we also plan to introduce an ISO 9001 management system. Our factory has become known as a significant manufacturer, a force to be reckoned with not only in Poland but also in international markets. By modernizing existing production lines and installing new ones, we have achieved a daily production capacity of about 60 tons of products, employing about 200 staff working in three shifts. The ultimate goal of our firm is to supply food products of the highest quality, capable of meeting the needs and expectations of our customers and ensuring complete satisfaction.

Our products have gained the approval and trust of many well-known food retailers; the companies we do business with include Geant, Carrefour, Ahold, Auchan, Leclerc, Edeka, and Mclane, and we also have many customers abroad, for example in Sweden, USA, Germany, Israel, Slovakia, Russia and Canada. In all of these countries, our products are highly valued for their quality.

• fully satisfy consumer needs for products which are functional, aesthetically attractive and tasty, besides being good value for money

ORZECH FVPP attaches considerable importance to intensive marketing activities, besides participation in many markets, trade fairs and exhibitions throughout Poland, with marked success. We also organize exhibitions and tasting sessions, as well as sponsoring sports and cultural events. Although it has only been in existence for a few years, our company has received many awards and distinctions.

• Regional champion and prize winner in the National Agroliga Contest, 1999
• Consumer hallmark for Royal Salad in 2000 and for marinated mushrooms in 2003
• Awarded certificate for Reliable Company in the Sub-Carpathian Region
• Agro Polska 2003 promotional trademark on two occasions
• Regional Leader for the Sub-Carpathian Region,2003

Our production workshop has been completely refurbished and modernized in line with the guidelines and strict requirements of our recently introduced HACCP quality control system, so that we can compete on an equal footing with food processing plants from the European Union. Modernized and overhauled production lines means that we can upgrade our production capacity while at the same time preserving the traditional flavours of our products.

The new HACCP quality control system means that our clients can trust our products, because the whole production process is controlled and monitored from start to finish, beginning with selection of raw materials from our suppliers, production, warehousing, and all the way to the final destination on shop shelves. Our new production workshop is the beginning of modernization of the ORZECH Fruit and Vegetable Plant. We plan to modernize and expand our offices and warehouses as the next stage.
Repairs and modernization of the production workshop were subsidized by EU funds from the SAPARD programme in order for us to increase the scale and speed of modernization. The new investment will also enable us to increase production capacity and as a result to contribute to reducing unemployment in the region.
